20 Cancer Symptoms in Men: Warning Signs You Shouldn’t Ignore
Should I Be Worried About Every Symptom On This List?
Not necessarily. Many symptoms have benign causes. However, if a symptom persists for 2-3 weeks or you're concerned, get it checked by a doctor. Better safe than sorry
Can I Have Cancer Without Any Symptoms?
Yes. Many cancers don't cause symptoms in early stages. This is why screening (PSA testing, colonoscopy, etc.) is important for men over 50 or with risk factors.
What Should I Do If I Notice One Of These Symptoms?
Contact your primary care doctor or visit an urgent care centre. Describe the symptom, when it started, and how it's affecting you. Your doctor may refer you to a specialist or order tests.
How Long Does Diagnosis Take?
Diagnosis varies. Initial assessment might take 1-2 weeks. Imaging and biopsies may take another 1-2 weeks. In urgent cases, testing is expedited.
Is Cancer In Men Treatable?
Many cancers are highly treatable, especially when caught early. Survival rates vary by cancer type and stage. Treatment options continue to improve. Consult your oncologist about your specific situation.
Can I Get A Second Opinion?
Absolutely. We encourage second opinions at Onco-Life. Many patients find it helpful. Contact us to arrange a consultation with one of our experienced oncologists.
