What to Bring & What to Expect

Your first visit is mainly to understand your condition, review reports, and plan the next steps clearly.

What to Bring (Checklist)

Medical records

  • Previous prescriptions and consultation notes
  • Biopsy / Histopathology report (if done)
  • Recent blood tests (CBC, LFT/KFT, etc. if available)
  • Discharge summaries (if admitted earlier anywhere)
  • Any prior chemo/radiation summaries (if treatment started elsewhere)

Scans & imaging

  • CT / MRI / PET-CT / USG reports
  • Films + CD/pen drive/link (if provided)
  • Older scans for comparison (if available)

Medicines & allergies

  • List/photos of current medicines (BP/sugar/thyroid etc.)
  • Allergy details (medicines/food/contrast dye)
  • Supplements/ayurvedic/homeopathy details (if any)

Admin

  • Photo ID (Aadhaar Card & Ration Card Mandatory)
  • Insurance/scheme info if you plan to use it (optional for first visit): insurance card/TPA details, MJPJAY/PMJAY card

Practical

  • Phone charger + notes/notebook
  • One attendant/family member (recommended)

What to expect (Step-by-Step)

  • Registration
    Your basic details are taken and your patient file is created.
  • Vitals/basic checks
    BP, weight, and basic screening as needed.
  • Doctor consultation
    The doctor will ask symptoms, history, family history and do a clinical examination.
  • Report and scan review
    Reports are explained in simple terms, what is confirmed and what needs confirmation.
  • Next steps plan
    Depending on your case, you may be advised further tests (blood tests/imaging), biopsy review, or a tumour board plan.
  • Scheduling & guidance
    You will get help with appointments, timelines (safe ranges), and scheme/insurance guidance if applicable.

Typical time needed (Safe Range)

  • 45 minutes to 2.5 hours
    (Depends on waiting, number of reports, and whether tests are done the same day.)
