He has been working as Consultant Surgical Oncologist since 2013 in Pune. Apart from routine general surgical oncology dealing with cancers of Head neck, Breast, Gynaecological, gastrointestinal, soft tissue, colorectum; He also specializes in minimally invasive surgery of colorectal & gynaecological cancers. He also has special interest in thoracic oncology, which includes cancers of Lung, Oesophagus, Thymus and mediastinal tumours.

He has several scientific studies & articles published under his name.

• Nominated for Best Outgoing Under-graduate Student Award for year 2002 at GMC Miraj.
• Best Outgoing Post-graduate Student Award for year 2005-2008 at VIMS, Bellary.
• Stood 1st rank in National level entrance examination for admission to MCh course in surgical oncology conducted by KGMU, Lucknow in 2010.
• Best Poster award (3rd prize) at Indian Cancer Congress held at New Delhi in Nov 2013.
