TGH Onco-Life Cancer Centre, Talegaon, proudly unveiled its state-of-the-art Thermal AI Screening Van, a first-of-its-kind mobile cancer screening unit designed to bring early detection directly to communities. This groundbreaking initiative has been generously donated by POSCO Steel and Rotary Club of Talegaon Dabhade, reflecting their strong commitment to public health and cancer awareness.
The fully equipped van features advanced AI-driven thermal imaging technology, enabling rapid, non-invasive screening for early signs of breast cancer. The thermal camera system maps heat patterns on the body and uses AI algorithms to identify abnormalities long before physical symptoms appear. This makes it an ideal tool for large-scale screening, especially for women in rural and semi-urban regions where access to diagnostic facilities is limited.
Beyond thermal breast screening, the mobile unit also provides on-site Pap Smear testing for early detection of cervical pre-cancers. Conducted by trained healthcare professionals under safe, hygienic, and private conditions, this service addresses one of India’s most preventable yet widespread cancers.
Additionally, the van offers Oral Cancer Screening, which is crucial in communities with high tobacco consumption and limited awareness. Specialists use targeted examination tools to identify early lesions, white patches, or pre-cancerous changes that are often overlooked until advanced stages.

TGH Onco-Life Cancer Centre, Talegaon, had the honour of welcoming acclaimed actor and environmentalist Shri Sayaji Shinde on 10th April 2025 for the official inauguration of its newly installed Digital Mammography Unit. During the event, Shri Sayaji Shinde expressed his deep commitment to cancer awareness and women’s preventive healthcare. In a remarkable gesture of generosity and social responsibility, he pledged 100 free mammograms for underprivileged women on his behalf. An Unprecedented Initiative with Over 3,500 Women Screened
Between 2016, 2017, and 2018, TGH Onco-Life Cancer Centre, Satara, in collaboration with Cooper Corporation, successfully organized a series of large-scale Women’s Health Screening Camps that created a remarkable impact across the district. Led and supported by Ms. Manisha Cooper, whose vision was to empower women to prioritize their health, these camps became one of the region’s most impactful community health initiatives.
Over the three years, the Cooper Camps recorded an impressive 3,500 registrations, making it a milestone program in preventive healthcare for women. All participants received free mammography, Pap smear testing, oral cancer screening, and basic blood investigations, ensuring comprehensive evaluation of common yet often neglected health risks.
