Onco Life Hospitals

Affiliations & Partnerships

At Onco-Life Hospitals, every affiliation is more than a logo on a wall – it is a promise we have chosen to be held accountable to. Each partnership listed below has required rigorous scrutiny of our clinical outcomes, patient-safety practices, infrastructure and ethics. Together, they place Onco-Life among a select group of cancer centres in India trusted by national health schemes, quality councils and leading cancer organisations.

CGHS – Central Government Health Scheme

The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) provides comprehensive healthcare to central government employees, pensioners and their families through a network of empanelled hospitals across India. Being recognised by CGHS means that a hospital is considered reliable enough to serve the four key pillars of governance – the legislature, judiciary, executive and accredited press.

To obtain CGHS empanelment, Onco-Life Hospitals underwent stringent assessment of bed strength, oncology infrastructure, operation theatres, nuclear medicine and imaging facilities, blood bank support, emergency care and qualified specialists. Tariff negotiations are equally demanding, as we must deliver advanced cancer care within CGHS-approved package rates without compromising quality.

For patients, CGHS empanelment translates into cashless or reimbursable cancer treatment at controlled rates, closer to home, in a centre that the Government of India has already vetted for safety and capability. For us, it is both a responsibility and a recognition that our protocols match the expectations set for government beneficiaries nationwide.

MJPJAY – Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana

Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY) is Maharashtra’s flagship health assurance scheme, offering cashless treatment for a wide range of serious illnesses to eligible residents of the state. It focuses strongly on high-cost conditions like cancer, where financial barriers often delay or deny life-saving care.
To be empanelled under MJPJAY, Onco-Life Hospitals had to demonstrate round-the-clock emergency services, specialist oncology teams, NABH-aligned systems, transparent billing and the ability to provide end-to-end cashless care for approved oncology packages. Regular audits verify that we respect package inclusions, clinical outcomes and patient grievance redressal.
This partnership allows us to offer advanced radiation, chemotherapy and surgical oncology at zero direct cost to eligible families. For many of our patients from smaller towns and rural belts, MJPJAY is the difference between postponing treatment and starting it on time in a tertiary cancer centre.

PM-JAY – Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana

Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is the world’s largest health assurance scheme, providing up to ₹5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care to more than 12 crore vulnerable families.

Onco-Life’s empanelment under PM-JAY followed a multi-step verification of our licences, specialist availability, intensive care support, oncology technology, biomedical waste systems and digital claim processes. Each approved procedure code has clearly defined clinical indications and documentation requirements, and our teams are trained to meet these with precision.

For beneficiaries, this means cashless access to complex cancer surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and ICU care without the fear of catastrophic expenditure. For the hospital, PM-JAY affiliation reinforces our position as a trusted referral centre for district hospitals and smaller nursing homes that send patients to us under this national safety net.

National Cancer Grid (NCG)

The National Cancer Grid (NCG) is a collaborative network of over 380 cancer centres, research institutes, patient groups and professional societies across India and several other countries. It aims to standardise cancer care, strengthen training and enable multi-centric research so that patients everywhere can access evidence-based treatment.

Membership in the National Cancer Grid is not a routine empanelment; hospitals are admitted based on their oncology case load, specialist teams, ethical standards and willingness to adopt uniform protocols and participate in collaborative initiatives. Onco-Life Hospitals has committed to following NCG guidelines for diagnosis and treatment, sharing data (with appropriate safeguards) and participating in continuous training programmes hosted by leading national centres.

For our patients, NCG affiliation means that the treatment algorithms used at Onco-Life are aligned with those at India’s top academic cancer institutes. It also opens doors to clinical trials, advanced tumour boards and second opinions within the grid – a powerful advantage for complex or rare cancers.

Indian Cancer Society (ICS)

Founded in 1951, the Indian Cancer Society (ICS) is India’s first voluntary, non-profit national organisation dedicated to cancer awareness, early detection, patient support, rehabilitation and research.

Onco-Life’s collaboration with ICS reflects a shared commitment that goes beyond hospital walls. To partner with ICS, we demonstrated active community outreach, screening camps, tobacco-control efforts, patient counselling and survivorship programmes. Our teams work with ICS on awareness drives, early detection initiatives and support for patients who require financial or psychological assistance.
This association strengthens our public health and survivorship dimension. Patients at Onco-Life benefit from access to ICS resources such as support groups, rehabilitation services and educational material, while the hospital gains visibility as a centre that not only treats cancer but also contributes to prevention and survivorship at a national level.

Quality Council of India (QCI)

The Quality Council of India (QCI) is the apex body set up by the Government of India and industry to establish and operate national accreditation structures across sectors, including healthcare. Through its constituent boards, QCI drives quality improvement, standardisation and trust in Indian institutions.

Onco-Life’s association with QCI is rooted in our pursuit of measurable quality. Implementing QCI-driven frameworks involves exhaustive work: mapping every process, defining indicators for clinical and administrative performance, training staff, and subjecting ourselves to external assessments. The standards are periodically revised in line with global best practices, demanding ongoing improvement rather than a one-time effort.

For patients and payers, QCI-linked accreditation signals that our safety systems, documentation, infection control and governance are benchmarked nationally. In an era where patients increasingly look for objective quality markers, this connection greatly strengthens trust in Onco-Life Hospitals.

NABH – National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers

NABH is the premier hospital accreditation body in India and a constituent board of QCI, created to establish and operate accreditation programmes for healthcare organisations. NABH standards focus intensively on patient safety, clinical quality, rights and responsibilities, infection control, continuous quality improvement and governance.
Achieving NABH accreditation is a demanding journey. Onco-Life Hospitals underwent a detailed gap analysis, redesigned numerous processes, implemented robust clinical pathways, strengthened medication safety, and integrated strict checks for consent, communication and continuity of care. Independent assessors scrutinised our records, interviewed staff and patients, and observed day-to-day practices before accreditation was granted.

For our patients, NABH status assures that every aspect of care – from registration to discharge – follows documented, audited and continually improved protocols. For the organisation, it positions Onco-Life among a relatively small group of cancer hospitals in India that have chosen to meet these exacting standards, enhancing our appeal to clinicians, insurers and international collaborators.

GIPSA – Preferred Provider Network (PPN)

The General Insurance Public Sector Association (GIPSA) represents India’s major public sector general insurers, who collectively operate a Preferred Provider Network (PPN) of hospitals for cashless treatment. Inclusion in this network is discretionary and reserved for hospitals that meet strict criteria on clinical quality, infrastructure and tariff discipline.

Onco-Life’s selection as a GIPSA PPN hospital followed careful evaluation of our oncology capabilities, ICU and OT facilities, qualified specialists, support services, adherence to standard treatment guidelines and transparent billing practices. We commit to providing packages at agreed rates while maintaining quality and timely documentation for seamless claims.

For insured patients, this means that treatment at Onco-Life is recognised for cashless or hassle-free reimbursement by leading public sector insurers, significantly reducing financial and administrative stress during an already difficult time. For referring doctors and corporate clients, GIPSA network status is a strong reassurance of our reliability.

Why These Affiliations Matter

Taken together, affiliations with CGHS, MJPJAY, PM-JAY, National Cancer Grid, Indian Cancer Society, QCI, NABH and GIPSA place Onco-Life Hospitals in a distinctive position in the Indian healthcare landscape. Few cancer centres manage to integrate government health schemes, national quality accreditations, specialist oncology networks and major insurance partnerships under one roof.

For our patients, this translates into a rare combination of clinical excellence, financial protection and ethical assurance. For our clinicians and staff, it creates an environment where quality is not optional but embedded in everything we do. And for our community and partners, it signals that Onco-Life Hospitals is committed to meeting – and continually exceeding – the highest standards expected of a modern cancer care institution in India.
